Making a difference
I spent my morning in Columbia, TN with the faculty and staff of Columbia State Community College. I had the good fortune to be a keynote speaker for their fall convocation where the theme is “Making a Difference”.
No doubt that education makes a difference in the life of all of us, and the role that is being played at the community college level cannot be downplayed.
Tennessee has an aggressive target of having 55% of the population with a baccalaureate degree by the year 2025. This will be an “all hands on deck” task and the community colleges like Columbia State will have their plates full in helping to get many back into the education system or getting them started.
Here are just a few shots from my work this morning.
Thanks to all my friends at CSCC. It was a blast working with you and I wish you the best this fall as you “Make a Difference in the lives of many here in Middle and Southern Middle Tennessee.
